Owners Pattie and Tony Kobe spent years researching the perfect spa design and services for clients. “We spent a lot of time putting together the treatments that you would find if you were at a spa in Arizona or Colorado. I spent a lot of time researching out west and studied at the Disney University, and we attempted to create, on a much smaller scale, the feeling of just walking in and being wowed. Our hallways are very tall and wide, there’s a waterfall, there’s relaxing music in the parking lot, candles burning inside for a great smell, and you’re transformed into this haven,” says Pattie Kobe.

She says that being able to truly release stress and pain from everyday life is the purpose of their spa and salon. “When you carry stress in your body, it spills over into every area of your life. We have an amazing team of massage therapists. We really do believe it is easier to take care of other people when you take care of yourself. When you feel better and when your body is healthier, it’s easier to take care of people around you. We have a spa assistant who accompanies you personally to take escort you all around the spa. Every massage guest gets cucumbers for their eyes and wraps for their neck. You relax, get heated up a bit, exhale, and what happened today is already out the door. It’s 6,000 square feet here so there’s a lot of space to get lost in,” Kobe says. State of Mind can accommodate parties of up to twelve and they specialize in clinical treatments for fine lines and wrinkles and treatment of acne and therapeutic sport massages. Clinicians believe in a holistic approach to wellness, offering services such as Thai massage and ear candling. In all, over 50 salon and spa services are offered here.

And clients truly are loyal, returning again and again to State of Mind to receive the treatment they need. “We were named one of the top 200 fastest-growing salons and day spas in the nation in 2000, and again in 2008, awarded from Salon Today, the leading publication in our industry. We strive to make sure our guest services are consistent, we are opened seven days a week, and our guests get the same level of service on Monday that they do on a Saturday.
