In one of the hardest-fought battles in this year’s Best of the Region voting, Menards edged out Lowe’s and The Home Depot for the title of best home improvement store.
“Thank you to all the loyal Menards shoppers in the region,” says Jeff Abbott, spokesman for Eau Claire, WI-based Menard, Inc. “We take great pride in being your hometown hardware store with the tools, materials and supplies for all your home improvement needs in each of these communities.”
While Menards is probably best known for its catchy ad jingle, “Save big money at Menards,” Abbott credits company’s dedication to service and quality for the recognition. “Our strength and success can be seen in our well-stocked and maintained stores, the lowest prices in town and the way guests are always treated like family,” he says. “We will continue to roll up our sleeves and work hard to help our guests.”
A family-owned and operated business, Menards has multiple locations scattered around Northwest Indiana, including stores in Portage, Chesterton, Valparaiso, Michigan City, Merrillville, Hammond, Gary and Schererville and nearby in Chicago, Illinois and also Homewood, Matteson and Tinley Park. In Michigan there are Menards’ stores in Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Portage, South Haven and Wyoming. Overall, the chain has more than 200 stores in 11 Midwestern states.
