More than 50 local and national artists are represented at Water Street Gallery, from the emerging, to the highly-collected, such as Stephen Hansen, who has a permanent collection in the Smithsonian. Owners Anne Gudith and Maryjo Lemanski have created an approachable atmosphere: “We pride ourselves on being able to work with the first-time buyer to the established art collector,” says Gudith.
The work in the gallery is changed out every three to four weeks, varying from figurative to landscapes, from traditional to abstract, to 3-D works of bronze and glass. The dozen or so events and shows the gallery hosts “generate buzz in the art community as well as the hot social scene,” says Gudith.
The gallery also works with interior designers to corporate business and in-home art consultations—including deliveries to in-home installations of the work.
