Northwest Indiana radio stations receive 10 nominations
Radio One Communications’ Northwest Indiana radio stations have received 10 nominations in six categories in the 2010 Indiana Broadcasters Association Spectrum Awards competition.
Both of the company’s local morning shows were nominated in the category of radio station broadcast personality or team—the Indiana 105 Dawn Patrol with Steve and Laura on WLJE 105.5 FM and the Wake-Up Crew with Don and Veronica on WZVN 107.1 FM.
“Summer Safety Series 2010″ on WLJE-FM was nominated for mini-documentary or series, and Northwest Indiana “Ghost Stories” on WLJE-FM and “Severe Weather Week” on WXRD-FM were nominated in the special interest and cultural programming categories.
Commercial series nominated were “Pauls Auto Yard—Sanford & Son,” humorous commercial, WLJE-FM; “Shaffer Hyundai—Hyundai Man,” humorous commercial, WZVN-FM; “Christenson Chevy—Unpaid Spokesperson,” commercial series, WXRD-FM; and “Lakeshore Area Regional Recovery of Indiana,” commercial series, WZVN-FM.
WZVN 107.1 FM also received a nomination in the best promotional campaign category for “Z-107 Corn Hole Tournament.”
Finalists will be announced November 13.
