NWI leaders named to Indiana Chamber board
Three business leaders from Northwest Indiana have been named to the Indiana Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
• Michael Rippey, president and CEO of ArcelorMittal Steel USA in Burns Harbor
• Jill Ritchie, manager of public policy and government affairs at U.S. Steel Gary Works in Gary
• Jimmy Staton, president of NiSource in Merrillville
Rippey, Ritchie and Staton will each serve a three-year term as an Indiana Chamber board member that runs through 2013.
The Indiana Chamber board consists of 150 members who are presidents, CEOs and high-level executives from companies throughout the state.
“These Northwest Indiana directors represent top companies in the area and are recognized leaders.
“We are thrilled to have them join the Chamber’s board to offer their diverse experiences and insights to continuously promote the state’s business climate,” said Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar.
The Chamber represents nearly 5,000 member companies that employ 800,000 Hoosier workers. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has been the state’s largest broad-based business advocacy organization for over 85 years. The nearly 5,000 member companies employ 800,000 Hoosier workers.
