It isn’t just Santa that gets help at this time of year. Recently, ArcelorMittal Indiana Harbor entertained some “small” helpers as part of the facility’s health and safety focus. Children of the facility’s employees were invited to remind their relatives how important it is to work safely.
“We need to work safely so we can go home to our families,” said Scott Jacoby, Manager, Health and Safety, ArcelorMittal Indiana Harbor. “Who better to remind us than our own kids and grandkids?”
Several young helpers from ArcelorMittal families donned hardhats, toured the facility and discussed what working safely means to them. The children eagerly looked to encourage their relatives to stay focused on the job.
