what an informative post, steph! we love indoor waterparks…especially in february. we usually always do one then. i understand what you’re saying about liking to be able to see it all….maybe we’d like KLC better for this reason.

whole-heartedly agree about good, fresh fruit. watermelon, pineapple, berries

i’d love more grilled chicken. our kids love steamed broccoli, cauliflower & snap peas.

i think a little yogurt with berries on top would be a great side choice.

Fun! My last waterpark experience was with my 4 year old, 6 month old baby girl and pregnant with my third. I couldn’t go on any of the waterslides so I spent tons of time on the lazy river (baby girl even napped with me.) I like when the lazy rivers are truly lazy, though, and don’t include random buckets of water that break up the calm (and wake sleeping babies.)

I love make-your-own pizza on kids’ menus, especially with a wheat crust! I also think that kids would love a fresh fruit or veggie “appetizer” because I don’t mind them filling up on that first, when they’re really hungry!

Jen, I think Key Lime Cove is perfect for the little ones. My son was 3 when we went and he LOVED it! Our daughter was not quite one but she loved it too.

I think it’s a good idea to have a wide variety of foods for kids on the kids meanu’s. I have found too many times that I end up at a restaurant that has TWO items in kid size portions. If my kids don’t like those choices, I end up having to order something in the adult size for me, and share it with them. That way I don’t waste money on ordering an adult portion for them. But when I do that, I end up not really getting to order what “I” want.

Key Lime Cove looks like lots of fu! how did Ivy like it? I’m wondering how much fun the younger kiddos have someplace like that, or is it more appropriate for the older ones?
