We go about 30 mins before hand so we can go to the bathroom, get snacks, etc. We sat in the car but many others brought lawn chairs. There were a number of kids running around catching lightning bugs but I would suggest bringing something for the kids to play with in the car in case getting out and running around isn't an option. Also, Aiden fell asleep about 15 mins into the movie... :/ I did the drive in a few weeks ago. We saw Zookeeper this past Saturday night there :) Our kids LOVE it! Especially the beep beep song! We pop popcorn and pack drinks and then stop at Pizza Hut and head over. During the week you should arrive around 6:45 or 7, gates open at 7. We park in the front row and let the kids lay with sleeping bags on the ground while we sit in chairs. We take citronella candles and spray everybody down. The drive in has it's own channel 88.5 and we put it on in our car or take a radio with batteries if you are worried about draining your battery. We've been loving the beach and Taltree and I think more trips to the splash pad are definitely in order!
