Dyson’s having me over for lunch.
Did you know Dyson’s US headquarters is in Chicago? Another thing to add to my Bucket List that I’ll totally get to check off this Friday!
I’ve been invited to take part in a first-of-its-kind Domestic Engineer event at Dyson and while I normally am now pretty picky about participating in “brand-blogger” related events, I don’t mind so much if they are personally interesting to me (hello, Dyson) and don’t take me away from my family (just a day trip to Chicago, totally do-able.)
I am cautious about giving away my consulting and ideas for free, but I’m already a Dyson fan- it’s the best vacuum we’ve ever owned (bought with our own money years ago, disclosure hounds) and I honestly think this day will be more fun than anything, so I’m going to check it out.
And also, I’d like to go armed with questions if you have any you’d like me to ask? Or ideas for how they can make our “domestic” life easier? I’m thinking maybe one of those leaf-blower type backpacks in a toddler-size vacuum so that I can just have Ivy clean up the crumbs as she goes. (She creates lots of crumb-age.) Or one that attaches to the car seat? I could go on…
Anyway, Friday is supposed to be a beautiful day. I’m looking forward to a break away from the norm here, and am excited to see what’s in store for us attending the event. I’ll keep you posted. Feel free to ask your questions or suggestions here (and include your blog address) or if you Tweet about it, the hashtag is #DysonDEs and they will be listening to what you have to say.
