The Fruits Of My Labor
I just spent an hour washing and cutting up fruit for my family that will mostly likely be gone by tomorrow.

Some of it I will leave out for the kids to munch on throughout the day, some of it will be part of dinner and dessert (on top of shortcakes with whipped cream) and some of it I’ve hidden for the morning’s breakfast in the garage fridge where I also have another watermelon ($2.99 limit 2 at WiseWay) to cut up for tomorrow’s big church BBQ get-together.
I don’t mind the prep work, it makes me happy to feed my family well, and it’s a taste of the summer coming just around the corner…
Our plans this Memorial Day weekend involve golf, and more golf (for my hubby), the farmer’s market and dinner with a friend (for me), church BBQ, a parade, & a RailCats game. What are you doing?
