Ruthless!

So, when’s the last time you went to the theatre? (Do NOT count the movies OR school productions.) Okay then.
No matter if you grew up a thespian like me or you’ve never seen a live production, it’s an experience most everyone loves. Entertaining, inspiring, and well-worth your time and money (especially compared to most TV and movies these days.)
Hubs and I caught the latest musical at The Towle Theater in Hammond last night. It was incredible. I loved the intimate space, the casting was phenomenal, and the story absolutely engaging and entertaining. I don’t want to give away any details but it’s not a full-musical, so there’s plenty of regular dialogue, and be prepared to laugh out loud! (Please go see it and then we can discuss our favorite characters.)
I heard that tonight’s show is sold out, but there are still a few performances of Ruthless! left including tomorrow’s matinee at 2pm, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday at 8pm, and next Sunday at 2 (I am hoping to take my Mom and some friends to that one!)
While this musical has some mature content (I’d rate it PG or PG-13 because of language), the Towle offers some awesome opportunities for kids- from youth workshops and camps to the Towle Youth Theater Ensemble, performing their next show starting April 1: Anne Frank and Me. (I will definitely be taking my older boys to this show!)
And, as I mentioned before, I grew up in the theatre (that is also why I continue to spell it that way) and I found The Towle to be such a delightful gem- PERFECT for date night or girls’ night out without having to drive all the way into Chicago, not to mention having to pay Chicago prices. At just $15 a ticket, it’s practically a steal. And you’ll be wanting season passes before you even get to the second act.
(And yes I know that photo is reversed… I took it from the inside. It was cold out!)
