Food Fight!

August 12th, 2010 - By Stephanie Precourt

i have four kids

Well, not really. But I somehow got myself into doing a Top Chef-like cookoff tomorrow night- Mommy bloggers vs Foodie bloggers at the Kenmore Live Studio in Chicago.

We were paired off (Mom blogger/food blogger) and given the same ingredient to make a dish (with our own recipe, something healthy we’d make our family for dinner.) I got “spinach” and that’s pretty awesome because I LOVE spinach. I decided to make a vegetarian dish and will whip up a simple pasta with spinach, lemon, & pine nuts. Probably the easiest recipe we’ll see tomorrow, but it’s totally something I make for my family.

We’ll see how it goes and I’ll totally share the recipe.

You can get involved with the “contest” in a couple ways. If you’re in the area, you can actually attend the free show tomorrow night- just RSVP here. I think you’ll also be able to watch it live (the kids are hoping to do this) (*more on that in a sec). Also, if you’re on Twitter tomorrow night and have nothing better to do, I think you can vote for me by using the hashtag #kls and my twitter handle @babysteph. You can watch my tweets and that hashtag for more specific instructions then.

*At dinner last night, I was telling the kids all about what I’ll be doing tomorrow night and they said Ooooh do you think you will win? Wow I bet you could maybe get THIRD place! And I was like, um, you don’t think I could win? They were like, ehh, maybe second?

Any.way.

[Photo above has nothing to do with this post, but it's cute and summer and I have been meaning to post it.]
