It’s nice. But.

We are moving in less than two weeks and we’ve decided to hire movers to help us pack and to do the move. I walked through my house and I see all of the things I love, the tan walls, the beautiful hardware on our cabinets, the smell, the carpet, the way the afternoon sun shines through the living room windows. I walk outside and I fall in love with the landscaping that I have done, the purple climatis climbing the deck, the massive hostas, the lilac tree underneath my kitchen window, the lavendar growing beneath my bedroom window, the day lilies, the evergreens, it’s all so beautiful. I sit on my deck and I listen to the birds singing in the mature trees in the background, I listen to to the wind blowing through the trees, I hear a train in a distance.

It is so beautiful here. Clausterphobic Beauty

But man, we are cramped. Soon, I’ll have an office, which is good, because today during a conference call? This was my office, sitting on the floor in my bedroom.  I can plant a tree or paint a wall or grow a climatis in my new house, I can’t build an office here.  I can’t wait.

In two weeks!!! Great news! You will love having a new house with lots of space, and you will be able to redo all those things you love again.

An office? With a door you can close? What would that be like?!?! Can’t wait to see the new place–I know you will make it “yours” in no time :)

We moved into our “new” house almost 4 years ago. Our old house was small and we were expecting our 3rd child. I was so worried about moving out of my “comfort zone” and into somewhere new…boy that didn’t last long. We went from a 3 bdrm w/ no land to a four bdrm, full basement, cape cod style house on 2 acres…with a huge garage for my husband to play in.

I bet you are excited. Can’t wait to see pics!

That’s so exciting! I wish I were in your shoes. The next two weeks will definitely be a whirl wind but so worth it!

Cracking up over here. Because I was on the phone with you. And I see Roja there. Ruby is so in love with her.

I can’t wait to see your new house. I’m going to book my flight right now. Okay, maybe not RIGHT now. But soon. Very soon.
