In Theory

January 6th, 2010 - By Beth Fletcher

In theory, it’s a beautiful thing.

Peaceful. Serene. Just imagining it you picture a fireplace burning, hot chocolate simmering on the stove and a story being read in the corner of the room.

It falls, gently, beautifully, sometimes you sit and watch. Sometimes you get up close and marvel at the intricacies that each one holds. Each one different, each one beautiful.

It creates family togetherness because it forces you to slow down, you pace yourself, you finish projects, you bake, you snuggle.

Everything is frozen. Everything is still.

And when it’s all said and done, it turns out, it’s not so beautiful. It’s dirty, it’s wet, you can’t push a grocery cart in a parking lot, your floors get dirty and in the end, you realize…SNOW SUCKS.

The end.
