**This Giveaway Is Over, Thanks To All Who Entered!

We’ve been enjoying some snow here, and while we haven’t seen any snow days, we have only two *gulp* days left before the kids are off school for two *gulp* weeks. I’ve been asking for ideas on winter time activities, all kids can get bored indoors, but mine being special needs kids means they aren’t really into playing in general. They need tons of direction, and tons of patience.
We were excited to try out the Vtech KidiArt Studio , because it looked fun and easy to use, but we had no idea what a total BLAST we’d have with this toy!
You can use it at either the TV or the computer, and you basically just snap photos with the digital camera and let your imagination do the rest. My kids loved to take funny face pictures, or pictures of inanimate objects like a shoe or a crayon, and then dress them up and create a "movie" with Mr Shoe.
This toy is a bit more into that "investment" range, but we loved how it was not only the fun digital art studio–but also a great desk to have around for when the kids just wanted to sit at it and color, eat or even read. I’ve found it to be the perfect height for my two older boys, and I know it’s sturdiness will outlast their craziness.
Win it! VTech is generously giving away a Vtech KidiArt Studio to one lucky reader!
To enter: Go here and watch the (really short) video about the KidiArt Studio and then leave a comment here telling me which feature you think your kids will enjoy the most.
**You can get an extra entry by tweeting and/or by posting about this contest (total of three entries per person). Please leave a comment for each additional entry.
**Contest ends Monday December 22nd at Noon. The winner won’t get the toy before Christmas, but at least ya’ll will know it’s on it’s way! Good luck!

After watching the video, it’s very hard to choose just one feature that my kids would enjoy, because I “know” they would enjoy all of the features. But, since you asked that we choose “a” feature, I know my daughter would love the digital camera and the ability to add to the pictures that she takes. As for my son, I know he would love the coloring/drawing features. As for mom (me) I would love the idea of being able to watch my children play and interact with one another with an item that is “not” geared toward just boys or just girls. Thank you for the opportunity to win what seems like a “fun-filled” toy.
December 19th, 2008 at 9:10 am
I think my son would love being able to take pictures and then play with them right away like adding hats or making puzzles. Plus, I’m a graphic designer, so he could work right along side mommy.
thanks!
December 19th, 2008 at 9:12 am
I love knowing that my son would be looking at the TV, not for mindless shows, but to see what he creates. My wife and I take a million pictures of him so I think he’d like to be able to take pictures too.
Thank you for a great prize opportunity.
December 19th, 2008 at 9:15 am
My girls would love a digital camera to take photos with, but I know for sure their favorite feature would be the ability to draw or color on the screen. They love to do that on the computer already and would love this!! Thanks so much!

Wow I’ve seen this before but never really took to much of an interest in it. Now that I watched that video I have a whole new perspective on this toy! My step daughter is so creative and loves to take photos, draw and would probably video tape everything if we’d let her! She’d definitely enjoy this!! I think the best part is the fact that she can send everyone e-cards of her work. She always tells us all these things she wants to send out to everyone. This would be a fun and easy way to send them!!
Thank you for this awesome giveaway!!
December 19th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
My daughter loves to take pictures, but since most of them end up being photos with the heads cut off of pictures of the carpet, I think she would most enjoy the ability to color directly onto the photos on the screen. She LOVES to color! And since she’s starting to understand the concept of email (and she’s only 3), I know she would love to be able to send her art to her aunt and our extended family with eCards.
December 19th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
My boys love to draw and do art. The feature that they would love the most is seeing their creations on a screen. Thanks for the giveaway.

My daughter would absolutely love this because she is so creative and loves to color, but her favorite feature would have to be being able to take pictures from the digital camera and create her own pictures and “dress them up” so to speak. She would love to add her own special touches and make them her own as well as color and create other pictures. Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway!

We have budding photographers and cinematographers (under six years!) who would spend hours manipulating the photos and movies they capture.. They would be captivated by the effects at their disposal, and going through the entire creative process with them would be a thrill for me as well. It’s too risky to entrust the kids to use the high-end equipment for even 10 minutes.. only to have them forget about their photos a mere moment later. With a creative studio, they would oversee all their work and build a sense of pride at what they accomplish. Thanks for th entry and happy holidays all!
December 21st, 2008 at 10:48 pm
hands down the camera and the playing with the pictures. IMMEDIATELY when I have taken a picture the kids are, Let me see! if you ever want to take a couple posed shots you must make sure you say to stay where you are! ha!
I feel like I should say I don’t personally have kids but I watch my 7 nieces and nephews ranging in ages 8 months to 11 years, so I know they would love this!
