Great Lakes Bank appointed Donna Harder and DeLynn Zambon to positions on the Bank’s board of directors. Harder is currently a Preservation Trust volunteer and tour interpreter at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio in Oak Park. Zambon is the owner/operator of Bella Fiori Flower Shop in New Lenox.

Robert J. Dignam has joined the law firm of Hoeppner, Wagner & Evans. He will practice with the firm's trial and labor/employment segments and will handle commercial and healthcare disputes. Dignam brings more than 20 years experience, representing commercial entities as well as insurance companies, in a wide range of disputed matters.

Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home has named directors Craig Morris and Craig Malone to its staff. Morris will serve families at both Portage and Chesterton locations and Malone will served as manager of the Portage chapel.

Lisa Gineris, of Cedar Lake has joined ATHOME America. She was promoted to the Two Star special team leader level, a coveted accomplishment within the organization.

Finalists for the Indiana Farm Bureau's Young Farmer Excellence in Agricultural Award include Matt and Chari Hayden of Lake County. The winner will be announced at the Indiana Farm Bureau convention Dec. 8 and 9 in Indianapolis.

Junior Achievement (JA) of Chicago elected six new board members at its Area Board of Directors meeting: Scott Curtin, managing partner, Grant Thornton LLP; Frank Ptak, president & chief executive officer of the Marmon Group; Frank McGovern, senior vice president. Illinois retail banking director of Charter One Bank; Stephen Sheridan, managing partner of Bridge Strategy Group; Michael Nolan, senior vice president, Regional Manager of the Chicago Title Insurance Company and John Walker, president and CEO of the Boler Company.

Dr. Leon Kosek of the Hammond Clinic in Munster is among 168 optometrists in the United States who have received the American Optometric Association 2006 continuing Optimetric Recognition Award.

Robert T. Li, financial consultant at Illiana Financial, was honored at a national conference hosted by Linsco/Private Ledger (LPL) for independent investment professionals. As a member of the firm’s Freedom Club, Li was recognized for providing exceptional client service.
