Two students from Bloom Trail High School in Steger received prizes for their artwork that was on
display at the Tri-County Junior-Senior High School Art Exhibition at the Center for Visual and Performing
Arts in Munster.
Senior Josh Banks earned an outstanding award for his oil painting titled "Nested." Beth Gallagher,
also a senior, received an honorable mention for her ceramic toothbrush piece titled "Daily Ritual."
In addition to Banks and Gallagher, the following Bloom Trail students had artwork in the exhibition: James Nickson, Maurice Williams, Amanda Mendoza, Edgar Banuelos, Doroteo Del Toro, Bryan Ford, Angie Schorn, Bilal Barnes, Ty’Sheena Currin, Samantha Angell, Gage Boss, LaShay Burns, Jose Candia, Shannon Cluff, Adan Flores, Carlos Horta, Jackquell Jackson, Marissa Jenkins, LaNeeka Johnson, Lindsey Jones, Stephanie Martinez, Pershaun Mathis, Frankee Massie, Antonio Meija, Sergio Medina, Nick Merisco, Alma Munoz, Hector Munoz, Hien Nguyen, Olivia Overall, Oralia Rodriguez, Kasandra Sanchez, Derek Smith, Heather Tobin and Arthur Wiggins.
