U.S. Sen. Barack Obama will return to Northwest Indiana on Friday for a rally at Wicker Memorial Park in Highland, according to a news release from his campaign.
Secret Service agents had been scouting sites in four Lake County communities, including Gary and Hammond, according to their mayors.
The Democratic presidential candidate's most recent stop in Indiana was Oct. 23 -- a rally in downtown Indianapolis.
Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is scheduled to appear Wednesday night at a rally in downstate Jefferson while Obama's running mate, Joe Biden, is set to campaign Saturday in Evansville.

But, Tim S. and Obama want to REDUCE our military spending and make us weaker. Then they will go off and negotiate with thugs and dictators with no pre-conditions.
God help us if this loser gains power. There will be a disaster and Obama will react poorly to it just like he did with the surge, Russia invading Georgia, and the economic downturn. "

They could have waited until later, they could have done this another day. But they don't care about the common working man like Joe the Plumber, they will illegally investigate his personal information using state computers, now they are throwing the kids of Highland under the bus.
This is over the top. It really has exposed Obama's callous disregard for kids. First he votes against providing medical care for live born children after a botched abortion, now he makes the decision to stomp all over the kids of Highland.
If this is any indication of the bad decision making and callous disregard for working Americans, we are in for a disaster if he ever gains power. His mistakes on the surge, and his waffling and inaction on the economy were early indicators, but this arrogant rally is the last straw. "

How about providng jobs where people work and they make something, other people buy the product because it is made here and that redistributes the wealth because people are selling and buying something. The business provides insurance for a family so a women can have a baby and not go on Medicaid to cover the cost of the baby
and the insurance company doesn't penalize them by not providing any pregnancy services or prenatal care or shots for the child. Oh and maybe have strictor laws for dead beat parents and increase child support. I have no children and I am tired of business's and insurance companies making me pay in my tax dollars for other peoples children. Give families a way to provide for themselves and they will not abort children.. "

Question for Obama wrote on Oct 29, 2008 11:36 AM:
"Then, this weekend, he announced in an ad that if you're a family making less than $200,000 you'll benefit - but yesterday right here in Pennsylvania, Senator Biden said tax relief should only go to 'middle-class people' - people making under $150,000 a year.
"At this rate, it won't be long before Senator Obama is right back to his vote that Americans making just $42,000 a year should get a tax increase.
Which is the real answer? I'm guessing 42K "

Pull out of Iraq ?! Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago!
Body count in the last six months:
292 killed (murdered) in Chicago ;
221 killed in Iraq.
Chicago... Who Runs it:
Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin
Rep: Jesse Jackson Jr.,
IL Gov: Rod Blogojevich,
IL House leader Mike Madigan,
IL Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),
Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)
...our leadership in IL...all Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
Of course, they're all blaming each other!
Can't blame Republicans; they're aren't any!
State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look 'em up if you want).
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in IL. And he's gonna 'fix' Washington politics for us? "

All you Pro-Life people... How can you sleep at night knowing that you stand for the life of a baby and yet once it's born you wash your hands of it. Does God have a spot closer for you because you got a child to live, then because it needed a simple procedure, and the mother couldn't afford it, the baby died? I think in the business world we call that dropping the ball. "
