CAF class to teach time management

The Construction Advancement Foundation will host a four-hour course entitled, "Time Management and Setting Practices" at its office here from 8 a.m. to noon June 19.

The need to accelerate change, information overload, and the need to balance the work and personal habits has escalated the importance for managing time.

Artery Explorer highlights health fair

The Us Against Athero Artery Explorer is coming to the The Community Hospital Fitness Pointe Friday as part of a free heart health fair.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. visitors can experience the Artery Explorer and journey deep inside their bodies to see how atherosclerosis affects their arteries.

In addition the Artery Explorer, visitors can take part in a free heart health fair from 9 a.m. to noon that includes free cholesterol/blood sugar screenings to the first 100 people (A two-hour fast is recommended for the cholesterol screening.).

Other heart health fair activities include body composition testing, blood pressure screening, a health walk from 10 to 11 a.m., and a cholesterol lecture from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

The explorer takes visitors inside their arteries and reveals first-hand the science behind the preventable disease of atherosclerosis, which is a narrowing of the arteries due to cholesterol buildup.
