The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has unveiled its third installment of the Hoosier Hot 50 Jobs. A list of the most in demand positions has been sent to education, work force and economic development officials and posted in each of the department's 26 WorkOne Centers and across the state. Computer software engineers, computer systems analysts and dental hygienists are among the top occupations projected to grow strongly.
Lincoln Bancorp announces dividends
Plainfield-based Lincoln Bancorp reported it has declared a cash dividend of $0.07 on each share of its Common Stock for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31. The dividend has been reduced this quarter from $.14 paid in recent quarters. Chief Executive Officer and President Jerry Engle said, "Decreasing the dividend was difficult, but a correct one. With the continued decline in the overall economy, we felt strongly that we should start preserving more of the company's capital."
Fort Wayne Museum of Art Announces New Atrium
The Madge Rothschild Foundation awarded a $750,000 grant to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art for its American Art Initiative Capital Campaign. The museum said in honor of the gift, it plans to name its newly redesigned atrium after the renowned philanthropist Madge Rothschild. The museum recently began its expansion project, starting with the addition of 10,000 square-feet of new gallery space. The new facilities are expected to be open by early 2010.
