Entrepreneur Center to provide workshop
The Entrepreneur Center Michigan City, 422 Franklin St., will host a business feasibility workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. June 3.
The class will help entrepreneurs in the process of starting and operating a business by acquainting them with the problems, responsibilities and the opportunities involved in starting and operating a business. It will help them determine their preparedness and ability to start a business before making the decision. It will be taught by Todd Dickard, Business Advisor from the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center.
Registration is limited and costs $25.

Express renews its ISO registration
Express Employment Professionals in Northwest Indiana, 332 W. US 30, Suite C, has renewed its registration as an ISO 9001:2000 company through Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance,. ISO standards, published by the International Organization for Standardization, places stringent requirements on business processes.
Registration requires strict adherence to guidelines, including heavy concentration on customer satisfaction and continual improvement.
The Northwest Indiana Express began services Porter, Lake and LaPorte counties with temporary and full-time employees in a variety of fields.

Manufacturing Camp available for students
The Center of Workforce Innovations will sponsor Manufacturing Camp, a June camp for eighth graders that will incorporate tours, computer design and hands-on projects while exposing them to high skilled careers within the manufacturing industry.
Three of the four camps are located in East Chicago and Valparaiso and are open to all students entering the eighth grade throughout Northwest Indiana. The fourth camp, located at Purdue North Central is an additional elective to their established Lego Robotics program.
CWI, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing work force development solutions and resources throughout Northwest Indiana.

Business after hours slated for June 12
The Chicago Southland Chamber will host a business after hours from 5 to 7 p.m. June 12 at the Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, 1035 Sterling Ave.
The Chicago Southland Chamber is a regional organization that serves a population of 2.5 million in 85 communities in the area bounded by Chicago on the north, northwest Indiana on the east, Kankakee on the south and Joliet on the west.
