Experts to speak at financial crisis forum

Economic and financial faculty experts from six northwest Indiana colleges and universities will share their insights on the nation's current financial and credit crisis at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Alumni Hall of Purdue University Calumet's Student Union and Library (north of 173rd Street, just east of Woodmar Avenue).

Faculty experts from the participating institutions will offer explanations, details and interpretations about the history of the current crisis; stipulations, pros and cons about the government's $700 billion bail-out plan; and international and regional/local implications of the market crisis. A panel of 12 experts also will respond to questions.
