Indiana University has made public a new strategic plan designed to strengthen the university's position as a leader in internationalization. The plan includes initiatives to emphasize student involvement in existing overseas study programs, recruitment of highly qualified international students, development of a global curriculum and opportunities for international professional development for IU faculty.
hhgregg to team with Indy Colts
Indianapolis-based hhgregg Inc. will announce a new marketing partnership Monday with the Indianapolis Colts. The partnership is expected to include the company's largest public relations/sports marketing initiative and a fan-centric reception area located at the south gate of Lucas Oil Stadium.
Lafayette plant to close
London-based Rexam has announced it will shut down its Rexam Precise factory in Lafayette next year. The Lafayette Journal & Courier is reporting that the plant employs about 60 people. The closure is expected to occur in the third quarter.
Feds charge 3 businessmen
Three Bloomington businessmen are facing two new federal charges in connection with an alleged coupon fraud scheme. The Bloomington Herald-Times reports that Bruce Furr, Lance Furr and William Babler allegedly took part in a wire-fraud conspiracy and conspired to obstruct a grand jury investigating their actions.
Ivy Tech plans expansion
Ivy Tech Community College is scheduled to announce today details of plans for expansion in Gibson County. The Evansville Courier & Press is reporting that a press conference will be conducted in Princeton with city, county and school officials in attendance.
