Michael Griffin, clerk/treasurer of the Town of Highland, has earned the Master Municipal Clerk designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Griffin is one of eight clerks or clerk-treasurers in the state with this designation.

Winfield Town Council member Paulette Skinner has joined Century 21 Pace Four Seasons a sales associate. Skinner will specialize in residential sales in Winfield, Crown Point and the surrounding area.

Steve Datillo has joined the staff of Four Seasons Real Estate. Datillo will be specializing in commercial and investment brokerage. He also is a Certified Residential Appraiser in both Indiana and Illinois.

Dr. James M. Lipton has become board certified in dental sleep medicine by The American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is one of only four dentists in Indiana, the only dentist in Northwest Indiana, and currently one of only 150 dentists in the United States who have earned this accreditation. This accreditation certifies that Dr. Lipton is qualified to treat individuals with snoring, sleep apnea, and other sleep-related disorders.

Glenn Evans, Brian Harrje, Allen Kent, Bob Nichols and Don Staack of Kent Heating and Air Conditioning recently earned the Certified Green Professional designation. CGP graduates have knowledge of the best strategies for incorporating green building principles into homes.

Peter Tothy, MD, has joined Cancer Helath Treatment Centers. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He is practicing in Merrillville.
