Construction group hosts leadership course

The Construction Advancement Foundation will host a four-hour course, "Leadership Skills," from 7:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 26 at the CAF office, 6050 Southport Road, Suite A.

The seminar will investigate the traits of great leaders, show you how to develop and demonstrate your values, and analyze specific leadership assets and liabilities.

Home preservation workshop set for Saturday

Diversity, Inc. and the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association will present a homeownership preservation seminar at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday 1906 W. 174th St.

Information will be provided from attorneys, real estate specialists, lenders and counselors. Legal experts will explain the definition of default or missed mortgage payments, repayments or workout plans, foreclosure judgments. Additionally they will explain the ramifications of each and what the home owner's options are in the process.

Participants should come to the seminar prepared to provide detailed information about the loan, their lender and mortgage servicer. Reservations are required. Call (708) 922-4603 to RSVP or for more information.

In-Pact Inc. awarded three-year accreditation

In-Pact Inc., 2300 Marshall St., has been accredited by CARF International for a three-year period for the programs it provides to individuals with developmental disabilities. The latest accreditation is the fourth consecutive three-year accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to In-Pact, Inc.

In-Pact, Inc. is a nonprofit organization which serves Lake and Porter counties and North Central Indiana, providing services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Service areas include group homes, supported services, supported employment program, adult and child foster care program, affordable rental housing program and a summer work program.
