NiSource declares quarterly common dividend

The board of directors of NiSource Inc. has declared a quarterly common dividend of 23 cents per share, payable on May 18, to shareholders of record at the close of business April 30.

NiSource, based in Merrillville, is a Fortune 500 company engaged in natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, as well as electric generation, transmission and distribution. NiSource operating companies deliver energy to 3.8 million customers located within the high-demand energy corridor stretching from the Gulf Coast through the Midwest to New England.

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers Calumet Chapter 112 is sponsoring a manufacturing industry job fair from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the gymnasium at Purdue University Calumet, 2300 173rd St., Hammond.

Best of the Northwest expo unveils May 24

"Best of the Northwest", an annual expo produced by the Northwest Indiana Chamber Executives' Association (NWICEA) will be from 2 p.m. ot 6:30 p.m. May 24 at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville.

Vendors from all the chambers in Northwest Indiana from East Chicago to Michigan City, will be displaying products and services. There will be samples, prizes and networking. Admission is a business card or $2.
