ARTS AND CRAFTS | Highland

Highland Parks and Recreation Department's winter arts and craft show with vendor fair is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 29 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 at Lincoln Center, 2450 Lincoln St. Handmade items as well as products from direct sales will be available. EVENING WITH SANTA | Dyer

Protsman Elementary will hold its Evening with Santa & Holiday Craft Show from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Protsman Elementary School, 1121 Harrison Ave. Bake sale, handmade gifts, candles, skin care, art, kitchen needs, embroideries, purses, party supplies, home decor, baskets, clothing, cook books, wooden signs, jewelry, florals, food items and more. Food (hotdogs, brats, polish, etc.) will be sold. Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. for pictures costing $3 each. Free admission.

HOLIDAY FAIR | Valparaiso

Alpha Sigma Lambda, VU's Alpha Tau chapter, invites you to convenient, one-stop shopping at their Holiday Fair at Valparaiso University, Union Great Hall, 1400 Chapel Dr., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6. Free admission. Featuring candles, chocolates/candy, corn hole games, gift baskets, health and beauty products, household items/foods, jewelry, leatherworks, oil paintings, ornaments, pet treats, purses, scrapbooking supplies, toys, woodworks, and much more. Proceeds provide scholarships for select VU non-traditional students. Vendors and crafters welcome.

MERRY CHRISTMAS BAZAAR | Gary

St. Mary of the Lake parish hosts the bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 in Lessard Hall, behind the church at 6060 Miller Ave. There will be trinkets and treasures, plants and homemade baked goods, handcrafted items, grab bags, and Christmas decorations. Lunch, including sandwiches and homemade soups, will be served on both days. St. Mary's is also sponsoring a cash raffle with a top prize of $1000. Cost of raffle tickets is $5 and winners need not be present at the drawing on Dec. 7. See any parishioner for tickets, or buy them at the bazaar.

22nd ANNUAL HOLIDAY ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR | Munster

Munster Parks and Recreation will be hosting its 22nd annual fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec, 6 and 7 at Munster High School, 8808 Columbia Ave. This Fair will include over 112 exhibitors who will display their "one-of-a-kind" treasures. Fine art, candles, tole painting, gourds, jewelry, wood accessories, florals - wreaths, ornaments, decorated trees, photography, woodcarving, clothing, pet items, soaps and lotions, wall decor, and much more. Concessions will be available. Admission is free.

Lake County Public Library is seeking vendors for an event called Made in America: Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at the central library, 199 W. U.S. 30, Merrillville. RON JACKSON'S 19TH MODEL RAILROAD SWAP & SELL MEET | Hobart

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at St. Bridget Parish Center, 101 Center St. Admission is $3, children 12 and younger free. All proceeds go to the Hobart F.O.P. #121 Vest Fund. Christmas Fantasy of Gifts Craft Show is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6 at Lansing Christian School, 3660 Randolph St. There will be a variety of handmade crafts to choose from and doughnuts, ollie bollen and lunch will be available. First Presbyterian Church, 6225 Lute Road, Portage will hold its annual Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 13. There will be a large assortment of homemade cookies and candy for $6 a pound. There also will be nut rolls and pumpkin rolls.

CRAFTERS WANTED | St. John

Crafters are being sought for the Lake Central Band Boosters' annual holiday craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at Lake Central High School on U.S. 41. Nearly 2,000 visitors attended last year. Spaces are still available, but they are filling up fast. Applications are available on the band website at lcband.com/boosters/craftfair.html.
