Dynamic spinning feats, high jumps and basketball magic will take the spotlight when The Harlem Globetrotters perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 29 and 30 at The Allstate Arena in Rosemont. The performance is part of the sporting troupe's "Spinning the Globe" world tour.
The Chicago performance by the high-energy, entertaining basketball team will feature a special appearance by Fred "Curly" Neal who was a team favorite when he played with the Globetrotters from 1963 to 1985.
Also starring on the team is Chicago's Jermaine Brown, brother of Randy Brown, a former member of the Chicago Bulls. Audiences will also see Big Easy Lofton, known as the Clown Prince of Basketball; Skyscraper Alleyne; Handles Franklin and General Grant.
The Harlem Globetrotters, who are in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, is in its 83rd season of touring. The team has performed for more than 128 million fans since it was founded in 1926 in Chicago. Tickets for the Allstate performance start at $20.
