The town of Schererville will host an international market from 3 to 8 p.m. every other Thursday, through Oct. 25, in the south parking lot at Redar Park, weather permitting. Plants as well as fresh produce from area farms and craft items will be sold. In addition, international food will be sold and local entertainment will be provided.

A farmers market is open from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at Griffith Izaak Walton League of America, 1532 E. Main St. Vendors include coffee, honey, flowers, meats and others. More vendors are welcome. ARTS AND CRAFTS | Highland

Highland Parks and Recreation Department's 2008 arts and craft show with vendor fair is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at Lincoln Center, 2450 Lincoln St. Handmade items as well as products from direct sales will be available. Applications are available at highland.in.gov/parks. Afterward, spaces will be released to new vendors. The cost is $50 for 10-by-10 center space/show or $75 for wall space/show. Not all spaces are guaranteed electricity. Vendors must participate for both days for the full duration of the show. The winter show is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 29 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 30. Returning arts and crafts vendors must register with payment for the winter show by Oct. 30 or the space will be given to another vendor. New vendors may sign up after Oct. 30.
