Dinner's Done! hosts an afternoon of vendors and demonstrations from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at 758 E. U.S. 30. DANCE INVITATIONAL | Munster

The 10th annual Munster Dance Invitational is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Munster High School, 8808 Columbia Ave. Teams from across Indiana will compete at one of the region's largest dance invitationals. Categories include solo, ensemble, pom, jazz and hip-hop. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens.

BOOK SALE | DeMotte

Friends of the DeMotte Library will host a Winter Book Sale during regular library hours today to Jan. 19 in the Story Time Room at the library, 901 Birch St. SW. Books, magazines and audio materials will be available, most priced at 50 cents or lower. A special Friends Only Preview Sale will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today, and new members are welcome.

REPTILE MAN | Dyer

The "Reptile Man" visits from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Dyer United Methodist Church, 2016 Church St. Attendees can have hands-on fun with his cold-blooded friends. The public is invited to this free event, and in ice cream social will follow.

JUST DANCE | Portage

Portage parks department will offer "Just Dance" for women from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Portage Yacht Club, 1370 Ind. 249. No prior dance experience is necessary. The cost is $3. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and bring water. Other dates for "Just Dance" will be Feb. 3, March 2, April 6 and May 4. Register the Tuesday before class.

BOOK SALE | Munster

Humane Society Calumet Area will host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the shelter, 421 45th St. The shelter is accepting donations of gently used books, audio cassettes, videotapes and CDs.

WINTER DANCE | Lansing

The Lansing Swim Organization Winter Dance is from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday. There will be food, raffle, music and cash bar. Tickets are $10 per person. The proceeds from the dance benefit the LSO Team, which consists of swimmers from 5 to 18 years old. Join LSO parents and friends for the event at American Legion Post 697, 18255 Grant St.
