Live Earth concerts will be held July 7 in cities around the world, including London, aimed at raising climate change awareness. Madonna, the Beastie Boys and Black Eyed Peas will headline the concert at Wembley stadium in London. They will be joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Keane, Foo Fighters and others. Headliners for the U.S. concert at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., include Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Kanye West, Rihanna, John Mayer, Smashing Pumpkins and Fall Out Boy. Other shows will take place in Shanghai, China; Johannesburg, South Africa; Sydney, Australia; Tokyo; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Organizers have also promised an event in Antarctica. The concerts mark the start of a new campaign called Save Our Selves, The Campaign for a Climate in Crisis. The concerts will be broadcast in the U.S. by General Electric Co.'s NBC network and on more than 120 networks around the world, and streamed live online. Promoters hope the concerts will reach an audience of 2

billion people. Proceeds will create a foundation to combat climate change led by The Alliance for Climate Protection, which is chaired by former Vice President Al Gore. AP

Grammy winner Sheryl Crow tours college campuses to raise awareness about global warming

Sheryl Crow, riding aboard a bus that uses biodiesel fuel, is on an 11-stop college tour to raise awareness about global warming. Accompanying the Grammy-winning singer is Laurie David, who produced the film on climate change, "An Inconvenient Truth," which won the Oscar for best documentary earlier this year. Each stop on the tour will include remarks by David, a short performance by Crow, clips from "An Inconvenient Truth" and a dialogue with students, according to Crow's Web site. "The more I learn about global warming, the more I know that we all have to do something to be a part of the solution," Crow, 45, said in a statement. "I am thrilled Laurie and I have the opportunity to go on the road and combine our efforts to educate the next generation on how they can make a difference." The "Stop Global Warming College Tour" opened Monday at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. It ends April 22, which is Earth Day, at George Washington University in Washington. AP

Martha Stewart aims to be online leader in everything lifestyle; relaunches Web site

Domesticity diva Martha Stewart aims to parlay her authoritative voice on everything about lifestyle to the millions of women who surf the Internet with the relaunch of her namesake Web site. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. -- which scaled back its Web operation as a catalog/e-commerce business in 2005 -- is set to officially relaunch marthastewart.com Tuesday as an information portal. The overhauled site, quietly unveiled late last month, features more than 700 videos, including daily episodes of Stewart's TV shows and how-to clips, provides a community where users can chat about such ideas as the latest recipe for chocolate cake, and features a retooled search engine that allows users to browse either by interest such as the latest scrapbooking techniques or by media property from magazines to TV shows. It also allows users to search across 700 other Web sites to get the best resources. AP
