"Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!" is hearing cash registers cha-ching. The first computer-generated Seuss film, starring the voices of Jim Carrey (Horton) and Steve Carrell (Mayor of Whoville) has grossed more than $223 million worldwide to date.

Note to Fox execs: How about thanking the hard-working Blue Sky animators by introducing them to the stars behind the voices?

Few celebs pop in to say hello, said local boy Aaron J. Hartline, one of the three chief animators behind "Horton." Frankly, he doesn't blame them.

"As animators, we sit in our office, in our cubes. It's kind of boring.. We never get to meet the actors," said the Hammond native, 32. "They're off in L.A.. and they do (their lines on) a soundstage. They do the voices before we animate."

His job is to listen -- and listen hard -- to the tracks and flesh out the toon's character by the way the actor delivers the lines. The more unusual the voice, the more inspired the final character. He and his colleagues loved Carrell's voice.

The "Office" star "is amazing," Hartline praised. "There are little nuances in his voice, like maybe a stutter, and you say, "Man, I can make that stutter so good. I can make a flourish in his eyes, make him bite his lips'. He's so full of these little quirks. He just delivers his lines so originally."

Trump this

The Donald is busy making a name for his local namesake as a fine-dining destination.

There's that chic "Sixteen" restaurant. On the 16th floor of Trump International Hotel & Tower, of course.

Now comes word that Monterey, Calif. vintners will host a Pinot Perfection seminar April 20 at the luxury hotel. And StarChefs.com, the on-line magazine for foodie insiders, is bringing in the Rising Stars National Chef Awards on May 19.

"Public Enemies" update

Director Michael Mann has once again raided Chicago stages for actors for "Public Enemies." John Fenner Mays has been cast as Ernest Blunk, the deputy sheriff taken hostage by John Dillinger during his infamous 1934 breakout. Mann tapped Rick Uecker as Edwin Saager, a Crown Point mechanic and second hostage.

'Brady' bash

Yes, that was Chris Knight of "Brady Bunch" fame chatting up guests Sunday at rednofive's 10-year anniversary party. Knight and wife Adrianne Curry, costars of VH1's "My Fair Brady," hosted the high-energy bash that seemed to rev up Curry (she danced all night) and tuckered out Knight (spotted grabbing a nap in a booth toward the end).

TV doc gig for Madigan

Paging Amy Madigan! The Chicago native has landed a recurring role as a psychiatrist in ABC's "Grey's Anatomy." Madigan will appear in five post-strike episodes starting April 24.

Lolla-lineup

Radiohead will headline Lollapalooza this summer (Aug. 1-3) in Grant Park. Other acts include Kanye West, Wilco, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Gnarls Barkley, the Raconteurs, Black Keys, Block Party, Lupe Fiasco and Mark Ronson.
