Readers often will comment to me: "How do you attend all the events you do? You're everywhere!"

Despite the many bylines, like you, I, too, often have to pick and choose, usually when events conflict with my schedule (or I just need a moment to actually sleep.)

Reader Debi Dispatch of Murfreesboro, Tenn., e-mailed me this week lamenting why I had not reviewed an April 18 performance at Horseshoe Casino's The Venue in Hammond of country singer Hank Williams Jr.

"Hi, Hank Williams Jr. played at your casino Saturday night, yet I have seen no review of his show. I've read about others, but is he not as important? Maybe I just missed the story! How did he do and would you please get a review printed? Hank is a LEGEND. Debi Dispatch."

Thank you for your e-mail, Debi.

To my knowledge, you are correct that a review of Hank's concert has yet to appear in The Times print edition or our online version at NWI.com.

I love to get out to The Venue as much as possible, but I had to speak at an alumni association dinner in my small town on the same night as the William's concert.

In fact, to date, I have only had the chance to review two performances at The Venue since it opened last August: Bette Midler's opening night Las Vegas review and Wayne Newton's Christmas concert.

I will say my columnist colleague Eloise Valadez has managed to fit in a few more show reviews than I, including, most recently, Aretha Franklin, Vince Gill, Bret Michaels, Al Green and Air Supply. These capsule reviews, when they appear, can be found on our daily Feature Focus page.

If there are readers who attended Hank William Jr.'s concert at The Venue and would like to share their thoughts about the performance, e-mail them to me, and I promise I'll share them with other readers like Debi.

Recipe correction

A step was omitted from the recipe for Mrs. Calvert's Sugar Cream Pie that appeared in my From the Farm column Wednesday, April 22. My apologies.

I will include this same correction in my next week's Wednesday recipe column as well, and this note also will appear on Saturday's Dining Guide page.

I wanted to make sure I did everything possible to get the word out before faithful readers attempted to try this recipe over the weekend. So, if you happened to clip it out from Wednesday's Food section for your recipe file, please note the additional stove-top step. Thank you.

The first three ingredients, 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cornstarch, 2 cups milk are combined in a saucepan and cooked until blended but?NOT brought to boiling. The softened 1 stick of?butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla are blended into?the filling, which is poured into an unbaked pie crust and sprinkled with cinnamon before baked?at 375 degrees 15 to 20 minutes or until center of pie is firm.?Makes 8 slices.
