Pop-on color

If the girl in your family likes trendy colors in her room, WallPops has plenty of it.

WallPops are peel-and-stick removable wall art that lets young -- and old -- decorate a room without fear of tearing it off later.

"Sugar and spice and everything nice" in WallPops is the company's latest series. There are five looks to choose from -- Flirt in the perfect shade of pink, Purple Perk in lavender, Oh Pear in soft yellow-green, Stylin' Green in chartreuse mixed with yellow and Totally Orange in deep orange. All colors are available in large circles, squares and stripes so you can create wall art in a jiffy.

This fall, WallPops plans to offer a deep brown color selection called Hot Chocolate, combining brown and pink. Prices begin at $9.96.

Deal with weeds

You leave electrical cords in the garage when you whack grass and weeds with Toro's new cordless trimmer.

Powered by a 12-volt motor and rechargeable battery, the 8-inch trimmer weighs less than seven pounds, making it easy to handle. String on the model is replaced through its bump-feed line, meaning you need no tools, only a spool to replenish it. $50. Available where Toro products are sold.

Preserve plastic

Now you can eat your yogurt and then use a toothbrush made from recycled plastic yogurt containers to clean your teeth.

Recycline, makers of environmentally friendly consumer products, and Stonyfield Farm yogurt makers are turning yogurt cups into Preserve brand products that include recyclable tableware and razors. They've reached the 2 million yogurt cup milestone and are partnering on a special-edition toothbrush under the Preserve name.

"Many people don't realize that since plastics are made with valuable resources like natural gas and oil, using recycled materials is one very important step in reducing our reliance on foreign oil and gas," says Eric Hudson, Recycline's president and founder, in a press release. Toothbrushes range from $2.79 to $3.49. Available at Target, Whole Foods and Trade Joe's stores.
