The National Prostate Cancer Coalition is teaming up with local medical centers and hospitals to provide free prostate cancer screenings for men today through Saturday. The Portage Fire Department will offer an American Heart Association Heartsaver cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid with AED training from 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Fire Station 1, 3401 Swanson Road. Fit City Valparaiso is challenging local tweens to an "amazing race" through some of Valparaiso's most popular parks. Lakeshore Public Television is seeking volunteers to help prepare for the Speaking of Women's Health Conference on May 15 at The Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza, U.S. 30 and I-65. * Couples Confronting Cancer Together Support Group meets from 7:30 to 9 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month. The group is for those with cancer and their spouse/significant other.

*Family and Friends Support Group meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. the third Monday of each month. The group for family and friends of cancer patients allows them to share experiences, learn to take care of yourself and support loved ones who have cancer.

* Blood Cancers Support Group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month. The group is designed for adult family/friends and those with a diagnosis of leukemia, Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma or myeloma.

* Wellness Support Group meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. or 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. It provides an opportunity to share feelings, receive support and learn ways to cope with the experience of having cancer.
