As my fellow Vid Kid once wrote, you wouldn't think that Indiana Jones and Legos would mix. A cool treasure hunter, and snap-together toy bricks?

They did in "Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures" (2008). In fact, the game is as fun as the three films condensed into it, "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Temple of Doom" and "The Last Crusade." The blocky little Indy figure has stubble, wears a fedora and carries a bullwhip that he uses as a weapon and to swing over pits. His face has lots of expressions. He scowls, says "Huh?" and flinches when he's punched out.

Aimed at younger players, "Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues" is the sequel and it includes scenes from the first three films plus lots of "footage" of the fourth, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." You remember this last one: Indy is reunited with Marion and their son. You can play single-player or multiplayer as any of your favorite characters on any system. I prefer to play Indy because nothing is cooler than a Lego Harrison Ford. Even if his pockets are painted onto his shirt.

The biggest change is you can virtually build your own levels (with Lego bricks and accessories) so you can play director. The characters' movements are a little more flexible; their arms and legs arch and ripple more when they dance (and they do dance, in one scene). I also like it when they jump into their Lego jeeps and trucks and do stunts in slow-motion. The LucasArts writers have a sense of humor.

My major problem with the other Lego game was how limited my moves were in co-op. This one lets you maneuver more easily, and you have a split-screen to keep track of your opponent (unless your characters are really close together). But the moves and our goals do get repetitive; you collect stuff, beat the level, collect stuff, beat the level.

Ultimately this game is strictly for kids under 10. Everyone else will find it too easy and repetitive. I was going to give it three stars, but I'll give it four out of five because of the great music soundtrack. See ya!
