CROWN POINT | The Mayor's Office of Special Events and the 4th Friday Arts Committee will host its third monthly event, an eclectic mix of fine art, music and interactive cultural fun, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday around the historic downtown square. This month, Crown Point's own Molley the Trolley will provide an alternative to walking the event.

While the event not only has more locations and fine artists this month, it also has Molley the Trolley running continuously throughout the square for free. It will be stopping at Parry Court in the downtown square; A Conservative Café, for the northern border of the district; and on the corner of Hack Court and South Main Street at the southern border.

Fourth Friday Arts is featuring a free theatrical performance of the Crown Point Community Theater's "Shakespeare Abridged" throughout the evening Friday at the South Shore Arts' Crown Point Community Arts Center, 138 S. Main St. On the upper level of the building, Alicia Madeka's water colors and stone carvings and Leslie Lambert, from Artifact Studios, shabby sheik collages will be featured.

South Shore Arts also serves as the informational center of the event.

Friday's line-up around the historic downtown area is as follows:

A Conservative Café, 201 N. Main St., is hosting two ballerinas from Indiana Ballet Northwest who will be dancing in Sleeping Beauty costumes as doted artist, Andre Nauta, of South Holland shows his nature and scenic photography.

Roger D. Nanney's scenic and portrait watercolor paintings will be featured at Amour Paris, 113 N. Main St.

Gail Adelphia's nature pottery will be displayed at the Antique Shoppe and Moda Boutique feature internationally inspired jewelry by Rosemary Gard. Both stores are in the lower level Courthouse Shops.

Peter Goerges' nature photography will be displayed at Birds of a Feather…and Friends, 102 S. Main St.

Douglas Davis' surrealistic eclectic paintings will be showcased at The Copper Butterfly, Candy Cove and LaFleur, in the lower level Courthouse Shops.

Mary R. Hoskins' mosaic art will be displayed at Dwellings Home Furnishings, 116 S. Main St. Live mannequins will be changing form throughout the evening.

Framing Concepts Gallery, 103 N. Main St., will be highlighting various works.

Gallery 4 C, 158 N. Main St., will be featuring Alan Vanderver's scenic watercolors.

Dancers from the Indiana Youth Ballet will be dancing in Peter Pan costume at both Geppetto's Toys and Togs and Sweet Peas in the lower level Courthouse Shops. Also in the Courthouse will be Lou Ann Thiel's nature oil paintings in Livia's World of Gifts.

Jim Hanlon's Raku fired pottery will be at Moriarty's Gem Art, 126 S. Main St.

Jane Leslie's photography will be featured in the Courthouse lower level shops Rotunda. Also in the Courthouse, Prime Time Clock Shop will feature junk metal art by Dwayne Bulla.

Rosemary's Heritage Flowers, 51 W. Walnut St., is the stage for Mary Ann Van Soest's landscape acrylics and other noted works of art.

Rita Berg's oil paintings, woodwork, etc, and Anna Christofolis' still life paintings will both be featured at Tiffany's Tea Room, 9 N. Court St.

David Hugg's abstract pastels and other unique works of art will be featured at Settings, 120 S. Main St.

Lenore Senovic's eclectic prints and cards will be highlighted at Simply Elegant Home Décor, 111 W. Joliet St.

Gloria Gayle Moczarnik's scenic oil paintings will be featured at both Stained Glass Menagerie and The Envelope Please, both located inside of the Courthouse lower level shops.

Bonnie Gregor's nature and floral paintings will be featured at Memory Keepers, 105 N. Main St.

The Coffee Cup, 107 N. Main St, features acrylic on stretched canvas works by Brenda Spitz, aka "Brendy."

Georgia S. Hatfield's photography, paintings and ceramics will be in The Right Touch, 111 W. Hack Ct.

Dana Weber's oil paintings of horses and landscapes will be at The Front Gate, 136 S. Main St.

The Healthy Back Clinic, 116 N. Main St., is hosting doted artist Pamela Spangler's whimsical hand painted accent & children's furniture.

Marsha Coleman's scenic black and white photography will be highlighted at Vanis Salon & Day Spa, 108 N. Main St., Suite A.

The lower level Courthouse shops will be a hub of vibrant activity also featuring Edda Taylor's photography and Jayme Julian's vibrant floral photography in the Rotunda, with Marc Polomchak's work displayed in the Court Gallery.

Works of art will be available for sale, but any transactions are solely between the artist and client. Interested parties are advised to bring alternative methods for payment, as not all artists are equipped to process credit cards.
