EARLHAM COLLEGE | Richmond

Katherine Hostetler, an Earlham College junior and daughter of Karen and Herald Hostetler, of Valparaiso, is studying in Tanzania, Africa, this semester. Hostetler is a participant in Earlham's Tanzania Program, studying ecology and human culture in a variety of geographic contexts. Students experience several home stays during the program and visit Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park. Earlham is a selective, liberal arts college in Richmond, Ind. Engaging students with a changing world, Earlham is dedicated to the development of effective ways to integrate international perspectives in education.

WESTMONT COLLEGE | California

Eric C. Meeder has been accepted into the Westmont College San Francisco Urban Program. As part of the program, he is completing an internship at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office while continuing his courses at Westmont. He is a 2006 honors graduate of Highland High School and the son of Brad and Connie Meeder, of Hebron.

Thomas Wilson, an Earlham College junior and son of Cheryl Mioduski and David Wilson, both of Crown Point, is studying in Japan this academic year. Wilson is a member of Japan Study, one of the oldest and most comprehensive programs in educational exchange. Based at Earlham, Japan Study enables students to explore Japan in depth, build language skills and experience Japanese culture. Living with a Japanese family, taking courses at Waseda University and participating in a cultural internship offer different windows for experiencing and understanding the complex society of contemporary Japan.
