LAKE STATION | Northbound S.R. 51 will be periodically closed for 15 minutes at a time from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Thursday while the Indiana Toll Road Concession Company performs emergency deck repairs to an overhead bridge, the Indiana Department of Transportation said.

Toll road bridges pass over S.R. 51 north of Interstate 80/94.

The brief closures are necessary for safe demolition and clean-up work, according to INDOT.
