Pumpkin Harvest festival and Chili Supper will be held today and Oct. 12 at Lake Prairie United Presbyterian Church, 18500 White Oak Ave. Pumpkins will be sold while they last from 2 to 8 p.m. today and noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 12, and chili will be served from 4 to 7 Oct. 11.

CHORUS CONCERT | Gary
Chorus Angelorum and artistic Director Mark Kruczek invite the public to its 23rd annual concert at 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at The Cathedral of the Holy Angels, 640 Tyler St. Titled "Tour de France," the concert offers a musical voyage through an eclectic mix of French compositions from the Renaissance through the early 20th century. The focal piece is "Requiem" by Gabriel Faure, featuring soprano Ann Beatty and baritone Eric Miranda as soloists. Admission is free and reservations are not required.

Faith Theater Company will present "Marmalade Gumdrops" at 10 a.m. Oct. 18 at Faith Church's Dyer campus, 100 81st Ave. Following the show, there will be an opportunity for ages 5 to 12 to participate in improv and acting workshops with members of the drama team.

BIBLE CRUISE | Northwest Indiana
RSVP/Catholic Charities is sponsoring a Lands of the Bible Cruise from March 4 to 14, 2009. All meals and air fare from Chicago are included in the seven-night cruise on The Steps of St. Paul cruise ship Cristal. The tour will visit Greece, Turkey, Israel, and Egypt, spend one night in Athens and one night in Cairo. A tour of the Pyramids and all optional shore excursions are free with reservations by Oct. 31.

Experience the Holy Land without leaving Schererville at program at 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 140 W. U.S. 30. Recently, Interim Pastor David Smook visited Israel and was able to walk in Jesus' footsteps, experience places he had only read about and make friends all along the way with his Christian guide and his Arab Muslim driver. He recorded his travels through slides and music, all of which he will share.

POLONIA BUS TRIP | Portage
Polish Pilgrimage Society of Nativity Parish will sponsor a Polonia bus trip to Chicago on Nov. 5, with tours of St. Mary of Czestochowa and Five Holy Martyrs churches, as well as shopping at Bobak's Deli. A Polish-style meal will be served at Szalas Restaurant. A luxury coach bus will leave at 9 a.m. from Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, and return about 5:30 p.m. Cost is $50, including lunch. Third Annual Cruisin' on the Ridge Car Show and Fall Festival will be held from noon to 4 p.m. today at Trinity Reformed Church, Columbia Avenue and Ridge Road. There will be food, snacks and beverages, free pumpkins for children and a classic car show with awards and a goody bag with a dash plaque for the first 100 entries.
