A Valparaiso sheet metal worker died Monday after he fell from a roof at a New Lenox job site.

Ronald A. Moser, 37, was pronounced dead of head trauma at 12:08 p.m. at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, said a spokesman for the Will County coroner's office. The work site was in New Lenox, the spokesman said.

Moser was walking on the roof when a piece of the roof broke, said Tony Moser, his brother. Ronald Moser, a Calumet Township native, was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 20, Tony Moser said.

Ronald Moser was "a good friend and a good family member," Tony Moser said. He leaves behind a wife and two children, Tony Moser said.
