E.C. man gets prison for drug sales

CROWN POINT | The Lake County prosecutor's office said an East Chicago man is going to prison for drug dealing.

Lake Criminal Court Judge Diane Boswell sentenced 32-year-old Torey Walker this week to 11 years in prison for selling cocaine last year to a confidential police informant on three separate days at an undisclosed location in East Chicago.

The prosecutor's office reported that Walker had three prior convictions. One was in Lake Juvenile Court for possession of a controlled substance, and two convictions were in adult court for battery and criminal recklessness.
