SPRINGFIELD
State divisions take disciplinary actions
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation recently announced disciplinary actions the department's various divisions have taken.
Locally:
* The chiropractor license of James R. Jordan, of Harvey, was indefinitely suspended after Jordan was found to have violated the conditions of his probation for unpaid state income taxes.
* The registered nurse license of Linda Dianell Hinton, of Lynwood, was indefinitely suspended because Hinton failed to comply with conditions of probation regarding the repayment of her educational loan.
* The pharmacy technician license of Donald Ray Bowles, of South Holland, was placed in refuse to renew status after Bowles defaulted on an Illinois educational loan.
* The pharmacy technician license of Mildred L. Lawrence, of Riverdale, was placed in refuse to renew status after Lawrence defaulted on an Illinois educational loan.
* The pharmacy technician license of Anita Washington, of Harvey, was placed in refuse to renew status after Washington defaulted on an Illinois educational loan.

Anti-airport group is meeting this Thursday
The next STAND meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Peotone American Legion hall, 109 E. North St., Peotone.
The meeting will provide the latest information from Shut This Airport Nightmare Down about the proposed south suburban airport in unincorporated Will County.

LANSING
Lan-Oak Park District seeking nominations
The Lan-Oak Park District will accept nominations for the Vince Award, which honors those who have improved the park district as either a present or former commissioner, staff member or volunteer.
The award is named for Wayne Vincent, who served the park district for 20 years and was instrumental in building an outdoor pool and acquiring and developing land for parks.
The award will be presented at the Grand Ole Fourth Celebration during the intermission of the evening concert.
All nominations should be mailed to the attention of the Lan-Oak Park District vice president, 17551 Chicago Ave., Lansing, IL, 60438.
GLENWOOD
Village selling stickers for display on vehicles
Village of Glenwood vehicle stickers for 2007-08 are on sale.
The Village Hall will remain open until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays this month so residents can purchase the stickers, which must be displayed on vehicles by May 1 to avoid late fees.
Residents also can purchase their stickers at the Glenwood Currency Exchange on Glenwood-Lansing Road.
