Artists put their work on display

Public can visit galleries at South Suburban College

SOUTH HOLLAND | "Spray Cans & Markers," an exhibition of art by Rhett Johnson, is one of two exhibits on display in August at South Suburban College.

The Art & Design Department is hosting the exhibition, which runs now through Aug. 28 in the Lee E. Dulgar Gallery and closes with a reception from 1 to 2 p.m. Aug. 28.

The department is also hosting "Study of the Human Figure," an exhibition of drawing by James Holmes. It will be on display from Aug. 20 through Sept. 19 in the Dorothea Thiel Gallery.

The Art & Design Department is on the fourth floor, northeast section of the main building in South Holland. The Dorothea Thiel and Photo-Four Galleries are both within the Art and Design complex on the fourth floor while the Lee E. Dulgar Gallery is on the first floor near the Atrium.

The public is invited to attend the exhibition and the artist receptions for free. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
