The following communities have announced Thanksgiving holiday closings.

BURNS HARBOR

Town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

CHESTERTON

Town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage pickup will be one day later.

HEBRON

Town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

KOUTS

Town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage pickup will be one day later.

PORTAGE

City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Thursday and Friday garbage and recycling collections will be delayed by one day.

VALPARAISO

City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Recycling pickup scheduled for Thursday will be picked up Friday.

WANATAH

Town offices will be closed Thursday.

PORTER COUNTY

License branches will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Branches will resume regular hours Tuesday.

There is no mail delivery Thursday, and all branches of the post office will be closed Thursday.

All county government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Porter County public libraries will be closed Thursday, including Valparaiso, Portage, South Haven, Kouts and Hebron branches.

Both branches of Westchester Public Library, the Library Service Center and the Westchester Township History Museum will be closed Thursday.

The Westchester Township trustee's office will be closed Thursday.
