MARKHAM

Warrant issued for teen in car theft ring case

A 17-year-old Hazel Crest resident arrested and charged in connection with a south suburban auto theft ring failed to show for an arraignment hearing in Markham last week, Cook County state's attorney's office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said.

A Cook County judged issued a warrant for Terell Perkins, who is charged with felony possession of stolen motor vehicles.

Lansing officers arrested Perkins on April 13 at the McDonald's on Torrence Avenue, where police said he was planning to meet with a potential buyer.

Cal City man charged with firing gun in fight

A Cook County judge set bond Friday at $350,000 for a 51-year-old Calumet City man who police accused of firing multiple gunshots during an argument in his apartment in the 300 block of 155th Street.

Glenn A. McCloud, who was being held at the Cook County Jail as of Tuesday night, is charged with aggravated kidnapping, possession of a controlled substance and possession of weapon by felon, Cook County state's attorney's office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said. McCloud is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 27, Simonton said.

Police host police auction next month

The Harvey Police Department will have an auction July 7 at the police station, 15301 Dixie Highway. Viewing begins at 8 a.m. and the auction starts at 9 a.m.
