De La Salle Institute announced that William Colletti and Analyssa Valdez have been chosen as the Bausch-Lomb Science Award Winners for 2007. The award is given to the graduating seniors who display excellence in the field of science. Colletti graduated as the valedictorian and plans to attend the University of

Illinois-Urbana-Champaign. Valdez graduated as the valedictorian of De La Salle's Lourdes Hall Campus, possessing a 4.913 grade-point averaging and ranking first in the 98-member class of 2007. Valdez plans to attend Northwestern University.

Colletti and Shujie Zhang have been chosen as the Frank Oswald Math Award winners for 2007. The award is given to the graduating seniors who display excellence in the field of mathematics.

Zhang concluded with a 3.681 grade-point average and was ranked No. 24 in the 98-member Class of 2007 at De La Salle's Lourdes Hall Campus.
