CEDAR LAKE | School lunches will cost a little more when classes get under way in the Hanover Community School Corp.

Beginning in fall, the cost of an elementary school lunch will rise 10 cents to $1.75.

Middle and high school students will pay $2, up from $1.95, and an adult lunch will cost $2.70, up from $2.50.

School breakfasts will increase by 5 cents to $1.05 in the elementary grades and to $1.30 in the middle schools and high school. Adults will pay $1.75.

The meals still are a good deal, Chief Financial Officer Quinn Van Rys told the Hanover Community School Board on Tuesday.

In an election Tuesday, Kay Sheehy was retained as board president.

Marilyn Kaper stayed on as vice president and Renae Hilton was re-elected secretary.

The board also agreed to schedule regular meetings at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
