LAPORTE | Guilty pleas have been entered for two suspects on allegations they tried walking out of LaPorte Hospital with drugs and other medical supplies.

Brandon Kollar and Rita Parker, both 25 and of LaPorte, could be convicted of felony theft under plea bargains submitted Wednesday in LaPorte Circuit Court.

The pleas call for the defendants to serve 240 days in the LaPorte County Jail.

According to police, Kollar was in the emergency room for a drug overdose May 13 and was accompanied to the hospital by Parker.

Upon his release, a paramedic discovered a locked medical supply cabinet in Kollar's room had been entered.

Among the numerous missing items were bottles of epinephrine, lidocaine, adenosine and naloxone.

When Kollar was approached, police said he was found with a bottle epinephrine in one of his pockets.

Parker allegedly had numerous bottles of lidocaine and other drugs.

Judge Tom Alevizos took the plea agreements under advisement. If he accepts the terms, he scheduled both defendants for sentencing July 15.
