INDIANAPOLIS | The Indiana Court of Appeals will begin Internet broadcasts of most oral arguments starting this month.
Chief Judge John Baker says the webcasts will give the public another opportunity to learn about the issues before the court.
Court officials announced Tuesday the webcasts would be standard procedure unless the three-judge panel hearing the case decides turn off the feed.
The Indiana Court of Appeals has 15 judges and is the state's second-highest court.
The webcasts will be available on the Court of Appeals Web site, www.in.gov/judiciary/appeals.
Cameras have been allowed for several years at some appeals court and state Supreme Court hearings, but they are banned from county-level courtrooms.
